Finley Farms is a Gilbert neighborhood in the 85296 ZIP code near Finley Farms Elementary, with many single-story homes and mature backyards, some on larger lots.
Pools in Finley Farms are often older and set in big yards with shade trees, which means more leaves, more staining and sometimes cracked decks around the pool. Owners here weigh full remodels against removing a pool they rarely use.
The Town of Gilbert's pool barrier policy, which quotes its Land Development Code, calls for an enclosure not less than 5 feet nor more than 6 feet in height. Gates have to be self-closing and self-latching, and openings can't let a 4-inch sphere pass through. The Town says it's each pool owner's responsibility to provide and maintain a compliant pool fence, so we check yours while we're on site.
